The Wild West of Men’s Fertility Supplements

Why the male fertility supplement market is just wrong

Search for “men’s fertility supplements” on Amazon and you’ll see the same thing over and over: supplements that promise the world, often with some brand name that awkwardly mashes together “fertility”, “masculinity” and some sort of "pharma" to sound scientific. (Yes, because fertility is ABSOLUTELY linked to masculinity and we should only treat sperm health when there is an issue and not proactively treat it as part of our overall wellness...)

Look even closer and there is even more similarity - overpriced bottles crammed with ingredients, most dosed so low they won’t do a thing. Honestly, check it out. If it wasn't targeted towards fertility, they wouldn't sell a single unit.

Then there are the reviews. Someone says they “got pregnant after a month” and the brand lets you believe it’s because of their capsules. Reality check: sperm take about 74 days to fully regenerate. If something happened in a few weeks, it probably wasn’t the supplement.

This industry runs like the Wild West. Personally, it feels like they’re preying on people who they know are at a low point and willing to try anything. That really pisses me off and it’s why I take a different approach with ODYN.

What actually matters in a fertility supplement

If you look beyond the marketing, a few factors tend to matter most when evaluating fertility supplements:

Clinically meaningful doses
The ingredient amounts should be consistent with levels used in scientific studies.

Focused formulations
A smaller number of well-researched nutrients may be more useful than very long ingredient lists.

Transparent labelling
You should be able to clearly see how much of each ingredient is included.

Realistic expectations
Supplements should support sperm health over time rather than promise immediate results.

How ODYN is Different

ODYN was created because I couldn’t find a supplement that actually aligned with the research.

Instead of building a long ingredient list for marketing purposes, the goal was to focus on a smaller number of well-studied nutrients at clinically meaningful doses.

The ODYN Fertility Protocol includes 10 ingredients such as:

  • L-Carnitine (2,000 mg)
  • CoQ10 (300 mg)
  • Lycopene (25 mg)
  • Zinc (25 mg)
  • Selenium (200 mcg)

These nutrients are included at levels consistent with research investigating sperm health.

The protocol is also structured around a 90-day timeframe, reflecting the natural sperm development cycle.

Why It Matters

Fertility journeys are often time-sensitive.

Because sperm take around 74 days to develop, each cycle represents an opportunity for improvement.

Spending months using supplements that are poorly formulated can mean losing time that can’t easily be recovered.

The ODYN Mission

ODYN exists to give men, and couples trying to concieve, a fair shot. Formulated with high doses of the right nutrients. But it’s about more than just a better supplement.

Our mission is to make male fertility honest, open and science-led. We want to shift the conversation so men think about sperm health as part of their overall wellness, not just something to “treat” after there’s a problem. Fertility shouldn’t be a crisis reaction. It should be part of how we look after ourselves in general.

The rest of the industry? Still the Wild West. But there’s a new sheriff in town (sorry, I had to).
